For anyone who has not had one — this is a reclining treatment, fully clothed, with your head in a basin.

1. Consultation, two to three minutes. Scalp type, what product you use, anything itching or sore. Say if you have colour-treated hair.
2. First cleanse. A clarifying wash to lift surface oil and product.
3. Exfoliation. A scrub or enzyme treatment worked over the whole scalp in sections. This is the part people describe as the strangest and best bit.
