`How long does a dip manicure take`, `how long does dip powder take` and the same question for every other service come up most often from people trying to fit a salon visit into a schedule. These are our real chair times, not optimistic ones.
How Long Is a Nail Appointment?
A nail appointment takes between 30 minutes and two and a half hours depending on the service. A classic manicure runs 30 to 45 minutes, a gel manicure 45 to 60, a dip powder set 60 to 90, and a full set of enhancements 90 minutes to two hours. Removal of an existing set adds 20 to 40 minutes on top, and nail art adds 10 minutes to over an hour depending on the design. Combined services overlap partially, so a mani-pedi takes less than the two services added together.
The number people underestimate is removal. It is a real service with a real duration, and it is the most common reason an appointment runs past the time someone had in their head.

Two lines are worth flagging. Dip powder is not faster than gel — it involves more steps, and with tips it approaches full-set territory. And a spa pedicure at the higher tiers is a 90-minute service by design; the extra money is largely buying extra time.

2. What Makes an Appointment Run Long
Removal, first and always. Taking off an existing set is 20 to 40 minutes before your new service begins. Hard gel and poly gel must be filed off rather than soaked, which sits at the longer end. It is also the step where haste does real harm. The American Academy of Dermatology points out that for enhancements to adhere in the first place, "the surface of your natural nails must be filed until they feel rough. Nail art you decided on in the chair. A single accent nail is ten minutes. Ten hand-painted nails with detail can be over an hour. Deciding at the start rather than midway keeps the booking accurate.
Repairs. A broken or lifted nail found during a fill has to be rebuilt before the rest can proceed. Mention it when you book and we will hold the extra time.

Very damaged or very soft nails. These need more careful preparation, and careful is slower.
Walk-in timing. Without an appointment you are fitted between booked clients, so the wait is unpredictable even when the service itself is quick. The walk-in guide covers the best times to try.
3. Combining Services Without Doubling the Time
Two services do not take twice as long when they can overlap.

Why the overlap works: with two technicians, hands and feet are worked simultaneously. With lashes and head spa, you are reclined with your hands free the entire time, so nails can happen in parallel.
Where it does not work: two services that both need your hands. A manicure and a facial that involves hand massage cannot overlap, and a manicure cannot run alongside another manicure.
One sequencing rule to remember: if you are having both, do lashes or a facial before nails when possible. Anything involving your face means lying back and potentially touching your hands to your eyes, and fresh gel does not appreciate that. 4. Booking Around a Show or a Dinner Reservation
Las Vegas schedules are tight, and nails are the thing that runs over.
Add 30 minutes of buffer to any appointment with a hard deadline after it. Not because we run late by default, but because your removal might take longer than expected or you might want art you had not planned.
Say the deadline out loud when you book. "I have an 8pm reservation" changes what we recommend. We may suggest a gel polish change rather than a full set, and that is a better outcome than a rushed set.
The riskiest booking is a full set two hours before an event. Two hours is the estimate, not the ceiling, and freshly finished enhancements want a little time before you are handling clutch bags and door handles.

- Gel polish change, $48, 30 to 40 minutes. New colour on an existing set.
- Classic manicure, $38, 30 to 45 minutes. Shape, tidy, polish.
- Gel manicure, $58, 45 to 60 minutes. The most colour-for-time on the menu.

5. How to Get In and Out Faster
Book, do not walk in. An appointment gets you the time you were quoted.
Decide the colour before you arrive. Colour selection is genuinely one of the longer unbooked variables. A photo on your phone solves it in thirty seconds.
Say what you want in one sentence when you book. "Short almond, milky nude, gel" gets the right slot held. "Nails" does not. Our simple Vegas nails guide has the sentence for most looks.
Mention removal, repairs and art at booking, not in the chair.
Arrive five minutes early, use the restroom first, and put your phone somewhere you will not need it. Reaching for a phone mid-application is the most common self-inflicted delay.
Wear or bring open-toed shoes for a pedicure. Otherwise you are waiting for polish to be fully dry before you can put shoes on.
Go earlier in the day and earlier in the week. Tuesday morning moves faster than Saturday afternoon everywhere in this city.

20 to 40 minutes. Systems that soak off in acetone sit at the shorter end; hard gel and poly gel must be filed off and take longer. Mention an existing set when you book so we hold the time.
Can I get a manicure and pedicure at the same time?
Yes, with two technicians working simultaneously. A gel manicure plus a classic pedicure runs 75 to 90 minutes together, against about 110 minutes if done back to back.
How far in advance should I book before an event?
Book the appointment for at least the day before, and add 30 minutes of buffer to any appointment with a hard deadline after it. A full set two hours before a reservation is the riskiest common booking.
