Ombre nails in Las Vegas: a $25 add-on on gel, Gel-X, dip or acrylic. French ombre, colour fades, seasonal ideas and how to make your ombre set last.
`ombre nails las vegas`, `french ombre nails` and `ombre nails price` are searches from people who want something softer than a solid colour but more subtle than full nail art. Here is how ombre works, the styles you can choose, and what it costs on our menu.

Ombre nails are a manicure style in which one colour blends gradually into another across each nail, usually from the cuticle area to the tip. The gradient is created with a sponge, an airbrush-style technique or a blending brush, then sealed with top coat. Ombre can be soft and natural, like pink to white, or bold, like two contrasting shades.
Where the name comes from. "Ombré" is a French word meaning shaded. In nails, it describes any smooth fade, as opposed to a sharp line like a French tip.
| Style | What it looks like | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| French ombre ("baby boomer") | Soft pink or nude fading into white at the tip | Weddings, work, a clean everyday look |
| Nude to colour | Natural base fading into a shade at the tip | Subtle colour, easy grow-out |
| Two-colour fade | One shade blending into another | Bold, fun, seasonal |
| Tonal ombre | Light to dark versions of one colour | Elegant and modern |
| Glitter ombre | Glitter dense at the tip, fading towards the base | Parties, New Year's Eve |
| Chrome or cat eye ombre | Metallic finish over a gradient | Night out, photos |
French tip or French ombre? A French tip has a crisp white line; French ombre blends it so there is no line. Our French manicure guide compares both, and a classic French is $15+ if you prefer a sharp edge.
Pairing with other finishes. Ombre combines well with chrome or cat eye for a metallic fade. Our chrome nails guide explains how that finish works.
Ombre is a $25 add-on on top of your base service.
| Base | Base price | With ombre |
|---|---|---|
| Gel manicure | $55 | $80 |
| Gel-X full set | $79 | $104 |
| Hard gel or polygel full set | $79 | $104 |
| Dip, natural nails | $68+ | $93+ |
| Acrylic full set | $68+ | $93+ |
| Gel pedicure | $65 | $90 |
Other add-ons that may apply:
Example: a Gel-X set in almond with a French ombre is $79 + $10 + $25 = $114. Every add-on is listed in our nail add-ons price list.
Gel manicure ($55). Gel holds a smooth gradient well and stays glossy for about two to three weeks. It is the simplest way to wear ombre on natural nails.
Gel-X, hard gel or polygel ($79). These add length, which gives the gradient more space to blend. Longer almond or coffin shapes show off an ombre beautifully. Our Gel-X guide covers the system.
Dip ($68+). Dip powder can be used for ombre by applying different powders at different points on the nail. It is durable, and the AAD's dip powder manicure guide notes dip can stay chip-free for up to four weeks.
Acrylic ($68+). Acrylic ombre, especially pink and white, is a classic. Acrylic can be filled, though each fill means the gradient is reworked at the base.
How the blend is made. On gel, the technician typically applies the base shade, then dabs or brushes the second shade towards the tip and softens the line between them before curing, repeating in thin layers until the fade looks seamless. On acrylic or dip, the gradient is built with powders of different shades. Thin layers are the key to a smooth, even result, which is why ombre takes a little longer than a solid colour; allow a few extra minutes when you book.
Regular polish? Ombre in regular polish is possible but chips sooner and the blend can look less smooth. For a set you want to last, gel or an enhancement is a better base.
Autumn: nude to burgundy, caramel to chocolate, or olive to deep green. Our fall nail colors guide has more shades.
Holidays: red to glitter, deep green to gold, or white to silver chrome.
New Year's Eve: glitter ombre on a nude base, or black fading to gold.
Weddings and events: French ombre is a natural choice; it looks polished in photos and grows out softly. Our wedding nails guide covers bridal timing.
A Vegas trip: a soft pink ombre for the pool, or a bold sunset fade of orange to pink for a night out. Our best nail colours for a Vegas trip guide has more ideas.
Why ombre ages well. Because the base of the nail is usually a soft, natural shade, the gap that appears as nails grow is less noticeable than with a solid dark colour.
Tips:
Protect your hands from UV. Gel and many enhancements cure under a lamp. The American Academy of Dermatology suggests applying a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen before a gel manicure or wearing dark fingerless gloves.
Removal. Do not peel gel ombre off. The AAD warns that peeling or picking gel can significantly damage your nails. Rebooking a gel manicure includes soak-off of the old gel.
At Marvelous Nails & Lashes, ombre is a $25 add-on. On a gel manicure that is $80; on a Gel-X full set it is $104.
A pink or nude base fading softly into white at the tip, with no sharp line. It is sometimes called "baby boomer" nails.
Both hold ombre well. Gel suits natural nails; acrylic, Gel-X, hard gel or polygel add length, which gives the gradient more room to blend.
A gel ombre manicure usually lasts about two to three weeks. Enhancements can be maintained longer with fills.
Yes. Ombre on a gel pedicure is $65 plus the $25 add-on, for a total of $90.
A French tip has a crisp line at the tip; ombre blends the colours so there is no visible line.
Yes. Chrome or cat eye adds $25+, and glitter accents can be added as a nail design from $5+.
Usually, yes. Because the base is often a soft natural shade, regrowth is less noticeable than with a solid dark colour.
