TL;DR

  • There is no separate "men's" price. Book a Classic Manicure ($35) and add a Buff Shine ($10+) for a natural, polish-free finish.
  • Want more care? The Marvelous Manicure ($65+) is our most detailed manicure.
  • A clear or matte gel ($55) keeps nails looking neat for weeks, without colour.
  • Business travellers: we are on Paradise Road near the Las Vegas Convention Center, open until 10 PM Monday to Saturday.
  • Healthy-nail basics: keep nails clean, dry and filed; the American Academy of Dermatology advises against biting nails or removing cuticles.

`mens manicure las vegas`, `manicure for men near me` and `what is a men's manicure` are searches from men booking a first manicure, often before a work trip, interview or wedding. Here is exactly what to book, what happens, and what it costs.

What Is a Men's Manicure?

A men's manicure is a standard manicure focused on clean, short, well-shaped nails and healthy skin rather than colour. It typically includes trimming and shaping, gentle cuticle tidying, buffing for a natural shine and a hand moisturiser. There is no different technique; the difference is the finish you ask for.

Same service, your finish. Most salons, including ours, do not list a separate men's manicure. You book a regular manicure and tell your technician you want a short, natural, polish-free result.

1. Which Service to Book

ServicePriceBest for
Classic Manicure$35Clean, shaped nails; the usual first choice
Classic Manicure + Buff Shine$35 + $10+Natural shine with no polish
Gel Manicure (clear or matte)$55A protective, neat finish that lasts weeks
Marvelous Manicure$65+Our most detailed manicure

Useful add-ons:

  • Buff Shine ($10+): buffs the nail surface to a natural gloss without polish.
  • Cuticle Trim ($10+): a tidy-up of loose, dead skin only.
  • Shape other than square: +$10. Square is included; tell us if you prefer a softer, rounded edge.

Example totals:

  • Classic Manicure, square, bare finish: $35
  • Classic Manicure with Buff Shine: $35 + $10 = $45+
  • Clear or matte Gel Manicure: $55
  • Gel Manicure in a rounded shape: $55 + $10 = $65

We confirm the total before we start, so there are no surprises at the front desk.

Every add-on is listed in our nail add-ons price list, and our manicure guide compares every manicure on the menu. Our manicure price guide explains what drives the cost in Las Vegas.

2. What Happens During the Appointment

  1. Quick look at your nails and skin. We check for cuts, hangnails or signs of infection.
  2. Trim and shape. Nails are trimmed and filed to your preferred length.
  3. Soak or soften. A short soak or softener for the cuticle area.
  4. Cuticle tidy. Loose, dead skin is eased away. We do not cut living skin.
  5. Buff. A smooth surface, with an optional buff shine.
  6. Moisturise. Lotion or oil massaged into hands and cuticles.
  7. Finish. Bare, buffed, or a clear or matte coat if you want one.

About cuticles. The American Academy of Dermatology's manicure and pedicure safety tips advise: "To prevent infection, never cut or forcefully push back your cuticles." Our cuticle care guide explains the difference between a tidy-up and cutting.

Time. A classic manicure is a quick appointment; tell us if you are fitting it around a meeting and we will advise on timing when you book.

3. Conventions, Interviews and Events

Business travel. Hands are on show during handshakes, presentations and meals. Our salon is on Paradise Road, close to the Las Vegas Convention Center, and open until 10 PM Monday to Saturday, so an evening appointment after the show floor closes is easy. Our salon near the Convention Center guide explains location and parking.

Interviews and weddings. Book a classic manicure with buff shine a day or two before, so any redness around the cuticles has settled.

Groomsmen and groups. If several people want manicures before a wedding, tell us how many when you book and we will schedule technicians together.

Feet too? Our men's pedicure guide covers what to expect from a pedicure, and the mani-pedi guide explains how to book both together.

4. Nail Care Between Visits

The AAD's tips for healthy nails are practical for anyone:

  • "Keep nails clean and dry." It prevents bacteria from growing under the nails.
  • "Cut nails straight across," then round the tips slightly for strength.
  • Use sharp nail scissors or clippers, and file snags with an emery board.
  • "Do not bite fingernails or remove the cuticle."
  • "Do not use your nails as a tool," such as opening cans.
  • Moisturise after washing, especially in dry Las Vegas air.

See a dermatologist if your nails change, swell or cause pain. The AAD notes this is especially important for people with diabetes or poor circulation.

How often to book. Every two to four weeks keeps nails tidy for most people. A gel finish can stretch the gap a little.

Dry hands and the desert. Low humidity, hand sanitiser and frequent washing can leave knuckles and cuticles cracked, which looks rough in a handshake and can be uncomfortable. A fragrance-free hand cream after washing and a drop of cuticle oil at night make a visible difference within days. If you work with your hands, gloves for heavy jobs protect both the skin and the nails. Hangnails should be clipped with clean nail clippers rather than pulled, because tearing them can open the skin.

5. Common First-Timer Questions

Will I have to wear polish? No. A bare or buffed finish is completely normal. Clear or matte gel is optional.

Is it awkward? Not at all. Nail technicians work with all kinds of hands, and a tidy manicure is simply grooming, like a haircut.

What if I bite my nails? Keeping nails short and filed removes rough edges that are tempting to bite. The AAD's dip powder manicure guide quotes a dermatologist who says a durable manicure "can help a patient stop biting or picking at their nails." A clear gel or a clear dip are both options; our dip vs acrylic guide compares durable finishes.

Is it clean? Nevada's salon rules require non-disposable tools to be cleaned and disinfected between clients. Our clean salon checklist lists what to look for anywhere you go.
